Trahanas is a dried food made from fermented bulgar wheat and yogurt, and its main use is in a soup of the same name. Typically this is made by dissolving the Trahanas in stock, sometimes with vegetables added, and often served with pieces of halloumi. It is regarded as a national dish of Cyprus but ancient records show variations of Trahanas were common thoughout the Balkans and Middle East. We offer both Ground Trahanas and traditional Sticks. |
